This award honours Richard Scott, who served as Chief Justice of Manitoba for over twenty years and, from 1983 to 1984, as President of the Law Society of Manitoba. The award is presented in conjunction with the annual Pitblado Lectures in November of each year, and the Honourable Mr. Scott serves as the Chair of the Selection Committee.”
