Summer Students


As part of its overall students development program, Tapper Cudddy hires summer law students for employment in the months of May through August. Our summer students have the unique opportunity to work with lawyers in a wide range of legal matters and cases in both our litigation and corporate/commercial departments.

Our summer work experience offers law students the chance to work with experienced lawyers and begin to develop practical skills for becoming a lawyer. We involve our summer students in all aspects of cases and transactions. Wherever possible, the summer students will have the opportunity to observe and participate first hand in cases under the mentorship of our lawyers.

In our litigation department, students will have the opportunity to assist in the coduct of litigation proceedings at various stages by attending motions, examinations for discovery, trials, appeals, and mediations as well as participating in drafting pleadings, research memos and opinions.

In the corporate law and commercial transaction department, such experience can include participation in corporate transactions including corporate acquisitions, corporate refinancings, real estate transactions, drafting of commercial documents, tax matters, and estate and trust preparations.

Each student is provided with office space, computer access, and parking.

The salary for summer student positions is highly competitive in the marketplace and subject to annual review.
